Giving Back Where We Go – Arusha

At CURAH Travel, we believe every journey should leave a positive mark. In partnership with Universal Spirit Center, we supported children and families in Tanzania through education sponsorships, essential supplies, and sustainable initiatives. More than donations, it was the moments of connection—sharing stories, laughter, and hope—that made this giving-back journey truly unforgettable.

On a recent journey, we partnered with Universal Spirit Center to support two impactful outreach projects in Tanzania, creating meaningful connections rooted in compassion and care.

Step by Step Learning Center

Together, we proudly sponsored four children at the Step by Step Learning Center—two by Universal Spirit Center, one by CURAH Travel, and one by a generous private donor—providing a full year of education, care, and opportunity.

The center serves children from low-income families, single-parent households, and those living with central nervous system disorders and chronic illnesses. Beyond early education, it provides therapeutic support, daily meals, and a nurturing environment tailored to each child’s needs.

In addition, one of our travelers donated a commercial oven to help launch an in-house bakery. This initiative will empower the center with a sustainable source of income while teaching children valuable life skills for their future.

Paradiso Orphanage

Our outreach continued at Paradiso Orphanage, home to 21 children who receive no government support. Here, CURAH Travel contributed school supplies, food, and daily essentials, helping to meet urgent needs and brighten the lives of the children.
